A Gold medalist from the prestigious Sri Ramachandra Medical College , Dr. Gowrishankar has done back to back Senior Residencies in General Surgery and Urology. Thereafter he has spent one and half years in Bangalore under Professor H.K.Nagaraj, learning and developing his skills in the field of Laparoscopic Urology and Renal Transplantation.
He has authored several articles/ book chapters in journals/books, and has presented papers in various state/national/international conferences.
His research Interests are mainly centered on the URODYNAMICS in various Neurological conditions.
Dr. Gowrishankar.S is a Consultant Urologist in Erode, Tamil Nadu. He is attached to Senthil Multi Speciality Hospital.
Dr. Gowrishankar.S holds an MBBS degree, as well as an MS in General Surgery and an MCh in Urology as his qualifications. He excelled in academics, winning medals and distinctions for his performance.
Besides having considerable exposure in the management of emergency and elective (minor and major) surgical problems during his three-year training in general surgery, Dr. Gowrishankar.S has a special interest in endourological procedures and performing all major urological procedures independently. In his spare time, he enjoys Cricket and participating in social activities.
